the best phrase ever!

I've learnt the best phrase ever!

So, here goes:

'nii mii rotchaat yangngay'

It means (roughly) 'What does it taste like'? Cheeky? ...I know! But, when said by farang (i.e. me) in Thai market it works a treat.

You see some nice BBQ pork? 'nii mii rotchaat yangngay' - presto, free taster of pork.

How about the pineapple? 'nii mii rotchaat yangngay' - yeah, you got it!

Backfires when offered incredibly eye-wateringly spicy deep fried fish tails, and your wife makes you eat them (with a smile) infront of the market lady!

What's the Thai for: 'With great power comes great responsibility'? Anyone???
