Indiana James!

Yesterday James was asked to go to a town called singburi, about 30 minutes west of where we are. The town is flooded (along with much of central Thailand), James was asked to help take some boats and supplies to the town.

On arrival James jumped out the van shouting in Thai 'I like to swim!', which the local old men sitting fishing found very funny and wanted James to join them fishing and drink moonshine with them!

Mission one was to take a boat full of supplies to one of the only buildings in the town with an 'upstairs' which was the Church (called 'Good News' Church!). James was armed with an oar to fend of whatever was lurking in the water!

Finally he walked for 30 minutes through water up to his chest to try and help an older lady get to safety, but she refused to move. When questioned why she said the word 'alligator' and made a 'snap' noise! The friend James was with then confessed that the local temple was famous for it's alligator pool which was home to 20 alligators - all now escaped!

Well at least this experience may have helped cure his fear of mosquito's!
