A typical day in Lopburi
Well, today was a pretty average day, as far as any day is average in Thailand.
We began the day with our usual toast and broccolli juice then alternated between checking emails, practising Thai phonetic , quiet time (kate is on Acts, i'm on Revelation-still), and I (finally) got round to uploading some Bible software onto my PDA phone.
Things seemed to really click today with the language learning this afternoon. EEng is a really good teacher. All those hours of making funny noises came together as we began to construct some sentences and ask some questions. We now have little yellow post-it notes all over the house, 'turn left', 'how much to go to the monkey temple', 'I Like', 'I Don't like', 'i'll buy this one'. Although Kate just asked me "how much to go to chicken fried rice?" - I think she is a little confused!
We went to Big C for dinner. Had Pad Thai (again) from our now favourite person Pad Thai Guy.
It's still hot, the mossies are still biting, and we still miss all our friends. Listening to I-pod keeps us sane though, as does blogging, which is kind of Cathartic.
